The  provides accommodation for two readers (barristers in their first year of practice) each year. Each reader's position is for a period of 12 months, usually commencing in May to coincide with the Bar Practice Course.
Henry El Hage, formerly of the Crown Solicitor's Office and Associate to the Hon. Justice Tamberlin of the Federal Court of Australia, is reading on the 11th Floor from May 2009 to May 2010. Applications for readership on the 11th Floor should generally be submitted to the Floor Secretary by February in the year before the applicant wishes to commence reading. This is a guide only and the 11th Floor may consider applications for readership at other times. Applications will be treated in confidence.
Successful applicants are encouraged to read with a Member of the 11th Floor and another barrister in other chambers. General enquiries about readership on the 11th Floor should be directed to the clerk, Paul Daley.
